At Caspian, timber is imported so that it can be processed into scaffolding boards.

As a production operative at Caspian I have graded timber from many different lengths to meet the BSI (British Standards Institution) through a machine that test the strength from 600mm both sides in the middle and using skills to visually grade the edge of the timber each side, checking for faults and processing the timber that meets the standard.

As a production operative I have gained experience with various pieces of machinery.

When grading the timber I have used productive machinery to process timber, label and band around the edge of the timber, for shipping to construction sites.
