Daily tasks were but not limited to.

• Using computer systems to set machines to correct weld cycles.
• Loading semi automated machines with exhaust components, ready to begin welding cycle.
• Performing daily checks on welding equipment, gauges and robots. Following checklists and documenting results. Rectifying any problems after checks.
• Fully trained using lifting equipment such as slings and vacuums. Manoeuvring fully assembled exhaust systems to rework bays. Also, used to perform change overs on robots when moving different types of heavy tooling.
• Checking assembled component after welding is complete. Locating any defects to welds, providing rework manually using MIG welding techniques, ensuring structural integrity, abiding by rework guidelines and specifications at all times.
• Labelling, tagging and documenting all components made. Maintaining timesheets providing hourly updates to management on targets met, documenting any scrap or problems that have occurred with detailed descriptions and solutions.
• Maintaining and ordering stock to cells and returning unused stock using ordering systems and communicating efficiently with drivers.
• Always following safety and quality standards. Joining team meetings with management and working together to meet 5S standards throughout the plant (cleaning and safe work space).

• Performing boning, butchering, trimming and finishing tasks at line speed.
• Meeting daily targets, ensuring the highest standards of product, reporting any issues to line management.
• Following daily production plans, working as part of a coordinated team to set up lines, complete hygiene and safety checks and ensuring materials are ready for use in line with industry standards.
• Continuously learning and improving knowledge of knife skills and meat processing techniques.
• Maintaining a clean work area and following all safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Surface preparation - Stripping old paint, filling in defects and sanding surfaces to ensure a smooth, even base for new finishes.
• Paint application - Applying various finishes using paint, stains or varnish on interior or exterior surfaces.
• Tools and Equipment - Using a variety of tools, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, vacuum/detailed sanders.
• Site preparation and clean up - Applying protective coverings to floors and other surfaces, maintaining a clean and safe work space throughout the job.
• Client communication - Providing detailed knowledge to clients when discussing their needs, advising on paints, material choices and providing estimates.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Merthyr College - City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 from September 2016 - June 2019. Completing Apprenticeship.
• Eye for detail - Attention to detail for achieving neat and precise finishes.
• Manual dexterity - Very hands on and have a high level of skill using tools.
• Problem solving - Able to identify and rectify surface issues and apply appropriate solutions.
• Time management - Effectively and efficiently finishes projects within the specified timeframe.
