I recently launched a clothing brand and have gained a wide range of skills during the process of building Waish. Duties include

  • Researching and gaining knowledge on all aspects of branding including typography, colour, brand voice, mission, brand personality and values
  • Gaining knowledge on consumer psychology and sales via books
  • Sourcing fabrics and trims
  • Liaising with industry professionals such as pattern cutters and manufacturers
  • Navigating quality control failures and working towards solutions to continue business operations
  • Creating a website through Shopify- all aspects of setting up an e-commerce store including but not limited to writing copy, adding pages, setting up shipping rates and creating automated emails.
  • Social media marketing- testing various types of content on Tik Tok and instagram and creating a content schedule

  • Designing packaging, thank you cards and swing tags

  • In my current role, I manage a high volume of administrative tasks demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills Key responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for ensuring internal processes are followed- includes sending out employee documentation, right to work checks, arranging D&A and medical's before employment, setting up new suppliers on the system, creating customer profiles, uploading risk assessments.
  • Compliance and expiry management: I consistently monitor and track expiries for drug & alcohol assessments, medicals, obtaining updated supplier certifications that are due to expire, this is essential for passing yearly audits.
  • Resource allocation and tracking: I order PPE for staff, track PPE given, training courses taken, right to work expiries, staff that have been removed from our system.
  • Efficient record keeping and attention to detail: I am responsible for inputting large volumes of working hours onto an internal database, updating a variety of spreadsheets, postal duties, inputting employee details into internal systems and updating accordingly.
