I am currently a high-school student in year 11 and will be undertaking my GCSEs this summer, I have a passion and a desire to do an apprenticeship at an educational setting, I have equipped myself with knowledge by studying Child Development as part of my GCSE and have been doing very well in this subject, I was then recommended to undertake my Child Development GCSE in January as an early entry.
If I am successful applicant, I will ensure that I apply the knowledge and skills that I have gained whilst studying child development and further progress in studying to gain a qualification to enable to utilize in a school or early years setting.
I have balanced studies and extra curricular activities, which also included working as librarian in the school library and would utilize part of my school lunch break.
I would also act in the capacity of a Reading assistant and worked closely with younger pupils that required improvement in their reading skills.
I had also been chosen to be a prefect in Year 11, and have duty assigned during lunch to observe younger year groups, I also undertake tasks assigned for Parent's evening, and other school events in supporting school staff and pupils.
My experience overall at school has been positive, and has provided the necessary support and education.
I have worked in the capacity as a Legal and admin assistant for work experience, at a local law firm.
I had been given the responsibility to shadow the supervising solicitor, and was undertaking tasks such as photocopying, scanning, shredding, printing.
I was also taught about how to operate the Case management system, and the various platforms that are used in the law firm.
