Zain Yaqub

Whilst a student at Ackworth 6 Form, I have had opportunities to go above and beyond my call of duty as a student:

• Enhanced communication abilities whilst attending the sports tour to Dubai when I was a lead student football coach for the U14s and U15s Teams
• I am currently working on my final year EPQ project, conducting research and analysing data. My chosen subject is 'why electric cars are not as sustainable as thought'.
• Showed flexibility and adaptability when asked to cover players during last-minute absences at my football academy matches.
• Assisted with event planning for annual school summer BBQ, which required organisational skills.

This was a multi-tasking role and allowed me to develop many valuable skills. including social skills, communication, teamwork, time management, organisational skills and empathy.

• I played for the first team at Harrogate Town AFC in the position of left back, and out of position as centre mid and centre defensive midfielder.
• I trained four times a week with the team which required physical and mental endurance, commitment, dedication and teamwork.
• I played as part of the academy team in local and national matches on a weekly basis
• Help set the pitches up with relevant equipment for the training sessions ahead of training sessions (goal posts, cones & poles)
• Attend team briefings with my manager and colleagues

• Knowledge of the menu items, and delivering accurate information to customers
• Welcoming customers upon their arrival and seating them
• Taking orders and relaying information to the kitchen staff
• Clearing and cleaning tables after customers have left ready for the next guest
• Delivery of food on time to the customer
• Taking telephone orders accurately
• Answering customer questions
• Resolving customer complaints

• Attended twice weekly cadet parade evenings allowing me to practice parading with my team .
• charity events such a football matches, Sports day events, archery, kickboxing,
• I took part in various seasonal activities such as wrapping Christmas presents for children's charities, selling poppies outside the Bradford City stadium, also taking part in the Bradford Remembrance Parade.
• I was trained how to fly a plane and flew twice with supervision twice whilst at my time there.
• This demonstrated Punctuality, teamwork, dedication, co-ordination, discipline and customer service skills.
