Extracurricular & Leadership

In primary school, I participated in stem club from P4 to P6. During my two years in the club, I obtained specific skills which I think can help me anticipate more matured tasks in the future such as making a keychain using a computer and a 3D printer and making car models using pieces of wood. I enjoy staying active and prioritising fitness by regularly going to the gym, which has helped me cultivate both self-discipline and confidence. In addition to my gym routine, I have achieved the level of black belt in karate, a testament to my dedication and focus. Karate has also taught me the importance of respect, not just for others but also for myself. I have been playing cricket for Accies Cricket Club since 2017 which shows my dedication, and I won many team and individual achievements winning the Glasgow Cup in 2019. My experiences in both individual and team sports have shaped me into a disciplined, goal-oriented individual who values hard work, teamwork, and personal growth. In this degree I am looking forward to learning to adapt the skills I gain from mechanical engineering and use them to help others around me.
