I have worked for M Group Limited within the Transport team, primarily working in Roadwork infrastructure. One of the key skills I have picked up is project urgency, ensuring that working across multiple projects for multiple clients does not influence the timescale of delivery, nor the quality of the service that I am providing. Another element that I have gained whilst working is Business communication, being able to speak with our clients as well as internally in our team enabled me to gain insight to project's scope of works, and provide me with the knowledge that could promote carbon saving opportunities. That business communication was also relevant across my collaborative work. As a graduate stepping into this job, I was able to work alongside designers, engineers and environmental specialists, helping me gain the understanding of utilising different perspectives, and helping to address diverse issues.

I was exposed to innovative techniques, and provided with how sustainable analysis occurs, factoring Social, Economic and Environmental factors into recommending certain low carbon features to schemes. I was able to take part in business operations and administration, being able to write meeting notes to send round follow up emails, enabling me to see how an 1820 employee strong business functions. Going on site to see the evolution of projects, and being able to create solutions to unforeseen challenges.
I spent a 2 and a half months working with Sainsbury's, where I was exposed to customer service and providing consistent support for anyone who came in.
