  • To participate in the assessment, planning, evaluation, reassessment , treatment's and support for patients with intractable or complex adults with bladder and bowel dysfunction.
  • Responsible for the management of a caseload of patients who required highly specialist assessment.
  • Empower staff through education, training the provision of clinical guidelines that integrates research and best practice.
  • To provide expert knowledge advice and clinic support to clinical consultancy to all health professionals.

  • Accountable to service manager , Senior Continence Advisor.
  • To participate in the assessment, planning, evaluation and reassessment of patients referred to the service for continence advice and treatment.
  • To follow treatment plan that has been instigated by the Nurse specialist and to follow up care of these patients within the home or clinic environment.
  • To deliver health education advice and support for patients, so that optimum enablement/self-care can take place within the community setting.
  • To use tact and diplomacy to provide and communicate complex sensitive information where motivational negotiating empathetic and reassurance skills are neede, where barriers exist to understanding, maintaining confidentiality within Trust policies.
  • To ensure all patients cultural wishes are respected at all times.
  • Responsible for identifying risks within the working environment and reporting these to the line manager.
