ST6 Cardiology trainee within KSS with broad prior experience in Emergency Medicine and General Internal Medicine, currently training at a high-volume primary PCI centre. I have a developing procedural focus in interventional cardiology, with a strong interest in coronary angiography, complex PCI, and coronary intervention research.
Appointed at ST5 level in October 2024 and progressed to ST6 in October 2025.
Through this post at a high-volume primary PCI centre, I have developed broad experience in general and interventional cardiology through cardiology on-calls, CCU ward rounds, moderating regular PCI multidisciplinary meetings, and frequent participation in Joint Cardiology–Cardiothoracic (JCC) case discussions. The role has also provided extensive exposure to invasive cardiac procedures.
Completed the first year of cardiology training at Medway Hospital, where I developed foundational skills in echocardiography, coronary angiography, and pacing. This role also provided broad exposure to general cardiology and a wide range of complex acute medical presentations.
Completed three years of Internal Medicine training at Medway Maritime Hospital, a high-volume district general hospital, where I gained extensive experience managing a wide range of complex medical presentations in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Gained valuable experience working in a London tertiary care centre prior to commencing training in a district general hospital in Kent. This contrast significantly deepened my understanding of the operational and clinical differences between secondary and tertiary care settings.
My first role in the NHS as an A&E Registrar provided an excellent introduction to the UK healthcare system. It offered valuable experience working alongside various specialties and managing a broad spectrum of acute medical and surgical presentations.
