I am extremely reliable and have confidence in handling temperamental animals with relative ease and gentleness.
I am compassionate and caring and keen to work as a member of a team to deliver positive experiences for pets and owners.

My career aspirations have always focused upon working in a caring profession, hence I initially successfully applied to University to undergo my nursing training .
Unfortunately a period of illness over the past 16 months prevented me from accepting my place in university. I now view this challenging time positively as this has allowed me to reflect upon my future in which my long term aspirations are to become a Veterinary Nurse . I appreciate I have not got extensive experience , however I am willing to volunteer my time in order to build up my skills which would allow me to initially apply for a Animal Care assistant .
To assist with the washing and grooming of dogs of all sizes and breeds.
My voluntary role included ensuring the dogs were calm and comfortable whist I bathed them .
To support the dog groomer by ensuring the animals are relaxed as possible which involved hands on animal handling in a confident manner whilst the groomer attended to the dogs needs , e.g. cutting nails, cleaning ears ,cleaning teeth, expressing Anal glands and grooming coats .
I additionally independently dried the dogs whilst ensuring anxiety was kept to a minimum.
I worked as a member of the team to support day to day running , for example cleaning the floor and grooming equipment and providing refreshments.
