Projects

  • EGGO - The first project launched by, '‘The Chrysalis Girls Initiative’' , a non-governmental organisation I co-founded centred around protecting the needs and rights of girls in Nigeria. Our first project, EGGO (Every Girl Gets One) was focused on targeting the effects of period poverty amongst young girls within underserved communities while simultaneously breaking the stigma around discussing and understanding the anatomy of a woman. We were able to provide pads for 1200 young girls and invite a medical professional to speak on the importance of menstrual hygiene and the ways in which it can be achieved.
  • YFI - The 'Young Future Innovators' programme was a showcase I founded and organised. It allowed students to pitch ideas for ways in which they could solve a problem that they identified in the community, the winning student would then have their idea supported.
