Yaman Dhary

Doctor
Stoke-On-Trent

Summary

Highly motivated MBChB graduate, with full GMC registration, ALS certification and successfully passed MRCP Part 1. I am committed to developing myself in the art of diagnosing complex conditions and providing excellent patient care. I have a positive attitude to challenging situations and one of my favourite places to work is on the medical take.

I have stepped up on neumerous occasions to cover resus alone at night where there is no senior cover, while knowing my limitations and seeking advice if the presentation is ambiguous or the patient is too unwell.

I am a hard working member and a team player with a proven track record, maintaining good relations with my consultants, junior colleagues, as well as the broader MDT.

Looking after my physical and mental health is an important part of the job so I spend a lot of my free time in the gym or cooking nutricious meals to help destress and relax. Fortunately, my passion for internal medicine keeps me motivated and eager to learn and tackle on challenging patients, and I honestly can't recall having a bad day on a busy on-call shift.

    Spines QIP (Oct 2021 - Feb 2022)

Was involved in designing a QIP, collecting and analysing the data, and presenting it at the Spines morbidity and mortality meeting.

We were able to prove that there is a statistical correlation on when to appropirately step down patients to oral antibiotics safely to reduce relapse rate in non-iatrogenic spine infections.

    Poster Presentation (March 2022)

First Author on a poster presented at the British Association of Spine Surgeons in Belfast (March 2022) which looked at what risk factors are involved in increasing morbidity and mortality with non-iatrogenic spine infections in patients over the age of 65.

    Audit (February - April 2023)

I helped design and lead a 2 cycle audit, and was involved in the data collection and compilation of both cycles. It involved streamlining the process of prescribing Clozaril. We ended up creating a document to outline the necessary steps which helped half the time and reducing errors in prescription of this drug.

Oncology Teaching Series (July 2023 Onwards)

I started an oncology teaching series, where I the lead organsiser of the program. Under the supervision of Dr Bhana, I carry out a teaching session every 2-3 weeks on a topic that is related to oncolly on Microsoft Teams which is targeted at doctors and the wider MDT.
