Audit/QI project:

1) Impact of surgical wire removal technique change on incidence of pericardial effusion in post operative paediatric cardiac patients (Aswan Heart Centre, Aswan-Egypt 2022):

retrospective audit of 100 cases found a 30% effusion rate (20% re-operation) After introducing a refined wire‐removal technique and staff training, re-audit (n=100) showed a 10% rate (666% RRR), with 90% managed conservatively My Role: data collection, analysis, and echo assessment

2) Improving adherence to pre and post ductal saturation measurement in newborn (Harrogate District Hospital, North Yorkshire-UK 2024 )

Over a 3-month audit of 50 newborns, 80% had pre- and post-ductal sat measurements recordedprompting staff training, resource allocation, and protocol reminders, leading to a 95% adherence rate in a subsequent 3-month re-audit of 50 newborns My role was Audit lead, data collection, data analysis
