I am extremely motivated in putting all my energy into a career in accounting. My studies as well as my work experience have encouraged my interest in the workings of small businesses especially, hence I would like to further my education and improve my skills in this chosen field.
My current job involves serving food and coffee made to a specific standard. Working in an airport requires strict punctuality as there are a lot of early starts, as well as giving an opportunity to serve a diverse customer base. As part of the Avolta group, which is a large international company, I also keep up to date with online health and safety courses, and follow guidelines which ensure great customer service as well as a consistent work ethic.
No.36 is a small business in which I was responsible for many duties which included: taking orders on the EPOS system, as well as on the telephone. I served hot food as well as making a wide range of drinks within a high pressure environment; also taking care of just eat orders and dealing with any issues which arose in those areas. At the end of the night I counted the till and took note of any stock that needed to be ordered for the week. I also trained new staff, making sure that everyone was consistent in their work.
This job involved placing products (vinyl stickers and wall art) on websites such as Amazon, Ebay and Etsy. I also used the CorelDRAW graphics design app to organise various product templates from dozens of order sheets daily, as my team depended on me to have everything printed and ready to be cut out, packaged and posted - meeting our daily goals.
This job included cleaning, serving customers in the sandwich/coffee section, canteen-style hot food section as well as working unsupervised in the ice cream kiosk.
This job required working in different locations across the island, catering for weddings, business events and parties where professionalism was of utmost importance. I worked long hours helping set up the venues, serve food and drinks as well as assisting in food preparation.
