Wilson Miller

I have just completed my GCSEs at the Brooksbank School and I am about to start my A levels at Huddersfield New College. Although I have not yet gained any formal work experience I feel I have a range of transferable skills that I could utilise to make a valuable contribution to your organisation.

I am looking for an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen with a view to a career in catering. I will bring a "can do" attitude to working in any area required and will use my team working, communication and interpersonal skills with staff and customers alike to support excellent service.

I developed team working skills at school in study groups, where I both gave and received information, help and support to peers to promote our shared goal of learning.

I have good people skills, for example communication and interpersonal skills, and used these skills to listen, empathise and support a friend with their mental health struggles.

• I am musical and have played several instruments, currently the guitar.
• I enjoy hill walking
• I am interested in art, particularly anime and enjoy drawing in this style.

I received a Head of Year Commendation to recognise excellent effort, performance and positive contributions to school life.
