As the Loss Prevention Manager at Alliance Healthcare, I am responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the loss prevention agenda across the South West of England, which consists of 1 main Service Centre and 5 link points. Additionally, I am responsible for the overall compliance and security, and adherence to regulatory standards. A key aspect of my role involves collaborating closely with departments and senior leadership to provide them with post-audit feedback on non-compliance and areas of loss, as well as best practices. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure the safety and security of company assets, employees, and customers, while fostering a culture of loss prevention awareness throughout the organization.
Noted Achievements:
In my previous role as Driver Team Manager, I was responsible for directly managing a team of drivers and overseeing the daily operations of the business. This included ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of medications to pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics for a fleet over +100 vehicles in the South East of England. Additionally, I collaborated with the site's Loss Prevention Manager to identify areas of loss and implement new processes, which positively impacted both the customers and the business.
As a Multi Drop Delivery Driver at Alliance Healthcare, I was responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical products to various locations, including pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics. My role involved managing a daily delivery schedule, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations, and maintaining the security and integrity of the products in transit. I provided excellent customer service, ensuring that all deliveries were accurate and conducted in a professional manner. Additionally, I performed routine vehicle maintenance checks and completed necessary delivery documentation. Effective communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility were essential to succeed in this position.
As Assistant Manager, my responsibilities included managing the healthcare and pharmacy department, which consisted of 12 colleagues, and deputizing for the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, I also took on the broader responsibility of overseeing the entire store and its 100 colleagues. In this role, I was accountable for delivering a safe and effective pharmacy service to the community while adhering to stakeholder contract agreements and service level agreements (SLAs). The role was highly performance-driven, requiring close attention to key performance indicators (KPIs) and regular reviews of both my performance and that of my teams.
A significant part of my role was managing the pharmacy to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services and medicines. I was also responsible for ensuring that colleague training was up-to-date and relevant. During my tenure, I was present for the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) three-year inspection of the premises, ensuring that the store and pharmacy complied with all legal requirements and regulatory standards.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing Judo, running, and weight training. I was a member of the England Judo squad for more than four years and was selected to join the Great Britain Squad in 2013.
