• Provided technical support for Operations to continue safely storing Spent Nuclear Fuel. This included;
• Producing detailed technical reports for effective communication of data.
• Trending sample results to provide assurance that Spent Fuel is being stored correctly.
• Providing long term trending and analysis of analytes to give insight into any long term issues so it can be solved as well as to give to regulators as evidence.
• Supporting Operations on plant with any ongoing work in different capacities.
• Supporting with any safety cases and/or risk assessments.
• Writing and preparing technical reports for various projects with the main focus of safety and securely storing Spent Fuel.

Moved into this role for over a year as a secondment. This role was to develop and design new solutions for different parts on site that were now obsolete or had become a safety issue. This included;

• Writing and presenting business cases to justify the work was of value.
• Writing functional specifications for the end users so it was clear what was required out of any potential solutions.
• Critical thinking and analysis to come up with potential solutions and deciding if they worth pursuing.
• The use of CAD software to create and design new solutions.
• The use of hand tools to build new solutions and build rigs for testing solutions and products.
• Going to different plants to test products to ensure product meets requirements.

Main focus of this role was to input costumers information into a central system from separate systems and excel sheets, managing large volumes of data entry tasks, ensuring quick turnaround time.
