The Food Standards Agency is responsible for regulating food and beverages within the UK, from production to consumption. My role as a risk assessor involves managing a variety of projects that ensure consumers are kept safe, whilst having a wide range of available products to choose from. Building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders is crucial in this role, engaging with anyone from food business operators (FBO’s), to policy makers and expert science councils.
