The Food Standards Agency is responsible for regulating food and beverages within the UK, from production to consumption. My role as a risk assessor involves managing a variety of projects that ensure consumers are kept safe, whilst having a wide range of available products to choose from. Building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders is crucial in this role, engaging with anyone from food business operators (FBO’s), to policy makers and expert science councils.

Cara Technology is a world-class brewing consultancy firm, providing certified yeast cultures, sensory training and standards, and specialist consultancy to some of the biggest brands in the industry. I initially took on the role of microbiologist and soon took on additional responsibilities in sales and consultancy, alongside routine laboratory work.
