In my time at St Giles i have became a valued member of the senior leadership team and provide financial assurance across the organisation. I have managed the finances within the organisation with very limited input from the finance director from operation transactional input, through to complex compliance requirements. In this time i have assisted with the digital transformation and embedded a brand new purchase order system, working alongside all departments to develop a greater understanding of procurement, budgets and cost control. I have also led the appointment of new external auditor and investments brokers for the financial benefit of the organisation, working alongside member of the Board. I manage the finance team with tight controls and have built an efficient, accurate and organised culture. Responsibilities within this role consisted of the following:

  • Prepared quarterly VAT return using Sage, ensuring full compliance to internal and external rules and regulations.
