I have a genuine interest in problem solving and different engineering processes. Throughout my apprenticeship I was engaged, punctual, polite and hardworking. Often relied upon by colleagues and management to see through tasks outside of my usual work remits. I enjoyed meeting these challenges and working as part of a team.
I would like the opportunity to further develop my education and skills via a higher/degree level apprenticeship in Engineering.
My first year was spent full time at Poole College achieving Level 2 NVQ Diploma and Level 2 BTEC in Engineering.
2nd/3rd year day release at Poole College to complete a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering alongside a level 3 NVQ.
Whilst in the workplace - 8 week rotations covering each department.
During this time I shadowed employees who used manufacturing procedures such as CAD, lamination of fibreglass, laser and wire cutting. I was able to independently mark and measure polystyrene blocks for manufacturing moulds. I had to ensure high standards of health and safety procedures, specifically the use of chemicals in the workplace environment.
