Company Overview: Go Bananas is an indoor play center with a café.
On a day-to-day basis I assisted in the café.
I was responsible for taking customer orders and I was required to prepare and serve food and drinks.
I also had the responsibility of clearing away used cutlery and plates when tables were vacated and to clean the tables thoroughly for the next arriving customers.
I repeatedly used general items such as coffee makers, ice makers and espresso machines and ensure they are maintained and cleaned regularly and to a high standard.
I operated a cash register to take payments from customers or total the bill by hand if these facilities were not available.
I followed food safety and hygiene requirements to ensure my work area and the premises were left immaculate for the next day.
I was also required to assist within the soft play area, which involved working within a wider team and working to ensure the safety and security of young children playing in a specifically designed area involving soft surfaces and equipment.
My duties involved providing dedicated customer services, supervising young children and ensuring a safe and secure environment.
Interacting with the children and participating with enthusiasm in their fun activities.
Listening to customer complaints and resolve them with efficacy.
The complete focus was on providing excellent customer service.
I was required and had the responsibility at the end of a shift to cash up the till.
Ensure my work area and the whole café were clean and tidy for the next day and complete a check list to ensure that the premises were secure and locked up for the evening.
Arrange and supervise various events.
I ensured the smooth running of several birthday parties and private hire functions.
I delivered smooth and professional events coordinating the catering and entertainment.
