During my Year 10 work experience at the University of Portsmouth, I developed a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail while assisting in both the geography/geosciences and healthcare departments. My tasks included categorising chemicals, safely disposing of geological samples, and supporting practical setups—roles that required care, teamwork, and organisation, skills that are well suited to the role of customer assistant.
I'm currently undertaking my Silver Duke of Edinburgh award, which has strengthened my initiative, problem-solving, and communication skills through community service and outdoor challenges.
At secondary school, I applied for and was selected as a prefect—a role that taught me leadership, reliability, and how to support others effectively. Notably, I helped run the Christmas cinema event, which sparked my interest in creating memorable experiences for others.
I'm confident that these experiences have prepared me to thrive in a busy, customer-focused environment, where teamwork, adaptability, and excellent service are essential
