WILLIAM DARE

I am a well presented, conscientious, hard-working person who likes to learn new skills. While working through personal challenges I have spent periods of time gathering employment experience in a variety of sectors to assess the direction of my career. I am now seeking a long-term role with training that will employ my skills and enable me to be an asset to a future employer. I have a mature outlook, good communication skills, and enjoy working with colleagues and the public. Always trying to get the task I have been assigned done in a professional and efficient manner, I have also proved these attributes throughout my studies. I feel I have a great many transferable skills to offer an employer, and I am open minded about the work that I take on.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing my guitar. Also enjoy watching local football, and walks around Devon and Cornwall.

• British Heart Foundation, Sales Assistant (Volunteer), 2020-07, 2020-11, Whilst waiting for my next opportunity I decided to do something worth while and so I volunteered at a reputable charity. My duties included operating the till, dealing with cash and card transactions. I have built on my customer service skills by serving customers of various ages and backgrounds with a friendly and helpful manner I have also gained experience organising stock on the shop floor, maintaining a general tidy and clean area.
• Citizens Advice Bureau, Administrator (Volunteer), 2019-05, 2019-01, Covid has been very hard for many people and so I decided to volunteer with an organisation who give people a helping hand and sound advice. I carried out a variety of administration duties including scanning and updating customer files on the bespoke computer system. I received daily instructions from management and left to work independently. I demonstrated my initiative but was not afraid to ask for assistance when I felt it was necessary. I also liaised with the department supervisor and team members.
