I am a hardworking, driven and passionate individual who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities both in my professional work life and personal life. This drive has led me to having experience in a variety of vastly different jobs from bartending to warehouse work to management, this variety in work expanding my knowledge of different professional sectors. My experience has also allowed me to work jobs with different levels of physical labour, emotional capability, and responsibility, as well as allowing me to work jobs with vastly different schedules and hours conveying my flexibility as an individual. Alongside my work life I have also completed a BA Honours Degree in film studies at the University of Roehampton London, further conveying not only my hardworking attitude but my commitment to a task whether it be personal, educational, or professional.
My role as supervisor required me to manage the team members in my supervision as well as to train them and advice them on their required roles. As supervisor I was required to open and close the pub / restaurant by myself, as well as organise and manage events from birthday parties to wakes, also handling the large payments after the events. The job also required me to maintain cleanliness and sanitisation in both serving drinks and food. At the Duke I also handled complaints, refunds, and organising and booking events in person and on the phone.
My role at Charles Darwin Leisure Centre required me to carry out a number of tasks to keep the centre running and keep customers happy. This included cleaning all facilities such as the toilets and changing rooms, as well as sports rooms, gym rooms, and the reception. I had to familiarities myself with the products sold and the services provided, also taking payments and dealing with customer complaints. I worked alone the majority of the time individually keeping the centre running and customers content.
My role at BPS required me to organise and build pallets for orders that were sent from the warehouse. The role was physically demanding, receiving specific training on lifting, packaging, and transporting products safely and effectively. I had to listen to instructions carefully in order to protect myself and my colleagues from the hazards the job presented. I worked at BPS along side my Leisure Centre job to fund my studies.
My role at the Stanhope arms taught me sanitisation practices not only in the kitchen but in the bar and the restaurant. It also taught me how to work effectively in a team and to a schedule in order to allow the business to run smoothly and effectively.
