I am a hard working, career driven individual who has 10 years experience in the Electrical industry and over 15 years experience in sales related and management roles. I have a large existing client base of electrical contractors in Preston and the surrounding area and have grown my customer base and sales levels which has resulted in beating long standing sales and trading account levels for the branch. I can self motivate and manage my time efficiently and use initiative to solve problems on my own but have also experience in managing and motivating teams when required. I have experience in selling Electrical products ranging from domestic, commercial and industrial as well as our additional in house offerings of Renewables, Electrical Waste and Atex Solutions. I am now looking for a fresh challenge in my career to further enhance my knowledge and potential earnings with a company that shares my vision and drive for success.
My current role is field based and requires me to manage key accounts to maximise sales and profitability. I maintain regular contact to build relationships with existing clients to establish and service their needs. I am also required to prospect and cold call to potential new clients and convert these into active trading accounts to exceed sales targets. As the electrical industry is so vast and regularly changes i make time to partake in training to enhance my knowledge of products and industry changes to give myself the best chance of success and keep my meetings and sales calls relevant. I plan my own diary and schedule my own meetings so self motivation, sales experience and willingness to adapt and learn have been crucial to my success within this role.
My previous role at CEF was to manage and motivate the internal sales team and maintain high standards on the trade counter. I was also required to manage the branch stock levels by negotiating with suppliers and buying at the right price to maximise profit. The role helped me massively enhance skills in team leadership, delegation, and time management.
My first role at CEF was serving on the trade counter, i began this role with no previous experience in the industry so my hunger and willingness to learn helped me settle in very quickly. I was required to serve existing account holders by picking orders and upselling to enhance sales and pass on any potential new leads to the account manger. I was also required to look after the goods inwards and maintain high standards and cleanliness in the stores and on the trade counter. I would occasionally be required to drive the delivery van to cover holidays.
My first full time role was at Tile Giant where i spent just over 5 years there. I worked my way up from Sales Assistant to Assistant Manager and used sales and customer service skills to maximise profit when serving tradesman and members of the public
My biggest achievement outside of work was when i designed and built a bar room in my garden from scratch. It had been a lifelong ambition to have a bar with a pool table so a couple of years back i decided i was going to do this and i received an award for reaching the top 25 of the 'pub shed of the year' competition out of over 1000 entries.
