Willem Baartman

Student at Wallace High school
Stirling

Summary

Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills, can Build relationships easily and encourage participation in group settings. Proactive and an engaging mediator with practical health and safety knowledge. With an eye for detail and the ability to give it my all, in any line of work. Being part of my local rugby club for 4 years, this has taught me not just how to be a good listener but also how to implement things I am told in my game, this skill has brilliantly transferred into my real life, as it has taught me the value of hard work and discipline. Discipline and hard work has taught to me the value of getting along with those in a group setting through my experience with the Duke of Edinburgh award, it has also shown that having good communication skills is a good way to resolve any issues with other people.Being Head Chairman of my pupil council group gave me an insight into how tough it can be to lead, and taught me valuable lessons when it comes to organising and being patient with people, and colleagues alike. One of my most valuable life skills was being taught through the world of acting, as I was the lead character for the School show, this taught me responsibility, commitment, discipline and helped me manage stressful situations, and helped me work with people.
