Athletics – I have been athlete since the age of 13, and I currently part of Bradford Airedale athletics club. I train at Bradford College indoors on Monday and outdoors on Thursdays at Horsfall stadium in wibsey with a qualified coach., Football – Occasionally on Monday’s I play 5 aside with colleagues from where I used to work.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The Beeches Nursing home

  • Facilitate and support Clients in decision making, promoting choice and involvement giving full regard to initiatives aimed at promoting Client empowerment.
  • Act as a Keyworker to an individual Client, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support. Ensure all medical needs are met and support the Client to advocate his/her own needs and wishes.
  • Support Clients’ participation in social, leisure, educational and employment opportunities within the local community.
  • I believe working in the healthcare industry with a diverse group of people has helped me to develop as a person and acquire new skills
  • My communication, decision –making and supervision skills have also been sharpened. Furthermore, I am able to use appropriate evaluation technique /tools to assess the effectiveness of patients’ care in order to offer high quality patient care. Given my extensive training and in the health sector I can say I possess I an increased knowledge in health promotion.
  • Over the years, I have developed inter personal skills through involvement of patients, carers and families appropriately in aspects of care provided. I also ensure that care provided recognizes patients’ personal needs, rights and choices. Involving patients and cares in this way assist in facilitating the growth of the therapeutic relationships and empowers them in many respects.
  • I can work without direct supervision, I can manage a case load and always appreciate the support from other staff members as well as sharing knowledge. This has assisted me to recognize my limitations and to seek advice when needed. As my educational profile shows, I am committed to personal and professional development.
