As an Assistant Headteacher with a class responsibility, I am responsible for the progress and attainment for children within the phase. In addition, I am currently responsible for leading Maths and Design Technology at both Foley and Brindley Heath, our Junior School. I currently mentor and support staff, deliver CPD and often deputise for the Headteacher to ensure the safe running of the school in their absence.

As a phase leader, I had responsibility for the progress and attainment for children in year 3 and 4. My role of Mathematics Leader involved leading the core subject at both Brindley Heath and at our infant school. As a Senior Leader, I delivered CPD for Mathematics and supported practitioners. I was an outstanding practitioner teaching mainly in year 3.
As a boarding tutor, I worked within the boarding house for year 7 boys at this outstanding state boarding school. Whilst on duty, I supported the boys with homework, supervised extra-curricular activities and maintained positive behaviour and supported young peoples emotional and physical well being.

This position in a two form primary school required me to lead Key Stage One as well as lead Mathematics across the school. I also held Leading Teacher Status where practitioners from across the authority would visit lessons to see outstanding teaching and learning.
During this role, I worked across the school as a class teacher. I planned and delivered lessons, supported with behaviour and focussed on enrichment opportunities for all learners, As part of this role, I focussed on maximising the opportunities for children with additional needs and those from a disadvantaged background.
