My main responsibility has been to teach PE & Games across the whole school from Reception up to year 8. I have taught early years PE using fun innovative games. In the middle school and upper school, I have taught basketball, hockey, volleyball and fitness in PE. As well as this I have taught football, rugby and cricket in games. I have been a year 5 form tutor for the past 2 years, which has involved pastoral duties such as behaviour and parent communication. I have also organised several trips for different year groups and lead assemblies in the middle school. I have led the football program at the school since I started, this included organising fixtures, house football tournaments and starting a girls after school football club. More recently I have taught geography to year 5 and provided cover in different area’s of the school where needed.
In September 2022 I started my PGCE. I taught sports such as Rugby, Football, Gymnastics, Badminton, Basketball and Netball across key stage 3. I also taught BTEC Sport, GCSE PE and assisted and started to team teach A-Level PE to key stage 5.
My main responsibilities were to lead and assist in PE, games, and swimming lessons. I also lead fixtures home and away, this included refereeing and umpiring. I ran my own after school clubs and helped to plan fixtures as well as inter house tournaments in multiple sports.
My main responsibility was to ensure the safety, good discipline and pastoral wellbeing of all pupils in the boarding house. I was also responsible for their care, supervision, cleanliness and presentation. During the day I would work with the PE department leading games sessions and run after school clubs across the whole school.
My role was to assist teachers in year 3 and work 1 to 1 with SEND pupils. My main task was to ensure these students keep up with their work and that they received extra support.
