- In this role I am responsible for overseeing the quality and standard of work produced by the students and ensure that the marking and assessing of it by the tutors across all of BA Honours courses ( Acting, Music, Musical Theatre, Dance, Film and Television and Games) for Level 4, 5 and 6
- Additionally my duties include overseeing the BTEC Courses offered in Music, Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre, Film & Television and Games.
- Liaising with external partners such as the examining board Pearson for BTEC and validating partners for the BA Honours courses; previously the University of Northampton and currently Regents University. On the BTEC I have an excellent working relationship with City of Liverpool College.
- I have developed strong working relationships with our external examiners on the BA honours courses and on the BTEC course through regular communication and face to face or in person meetings.
- My responsibility is to collate samples of student work for moderation purposes and to organise digital folders of work for work sampling by external examiners and validating partners.
- Encourage and guide open communication channels across departments for seamless information flow regarding quality measures.
- Ensure consistency in quality of curriculum delivery and parity across assessment marking and feedback to students with regular monitoring
- Led company-wide quality training to staff on teaching and learning, fostering a culture of excellent pedagogical practice and continuous improvement.
