I worked for Royal Mail in the early part of my working life, with a brief stint covering the busy Christmas period at Argos in between. During my time at Royal Mail I have worked as a PHG, which is one step below the manager meaning I had to take charge when the manager wasn't there. Other duties included working in the office and dealing with customer complaints and serving customers coming to collect their parcels.
I ran my own Martial Arts School for many years where I trained lots of champions. I was also a coach with the British Team. I started in Martial Arts at the age of 10, and started teaching at 12 under my Instructor. I became British Champion at the age of 16 in the adult section. I went on to win 30 British Titles. I became European Champion at 18 and World Champion at 19 years old. I am also in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame, which enables me to use the initials H.O.F. after my name.
I spent 4 years researching and went backpacking around the World. I arranged everything myself and have now travelled round Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada and South America.
When I returned from my travels I put myself through a course in Private Investigation and a course in Stock Trading which I passed both with distinction as I enjoy learning new skills.
Then after a short spell of working for William Hill I managed to get a job working for STA Travel and then 2 years later moved into business travel with Gray Dawes.
From there I became my own boss with Travel Counsellors running my own business. I had to book all types of travel for my customers and manage my customer database and go out to find new customers. I was in charge of my own marketing strategy and would attend business networking where I was a group leader running the events and have my own stand at trade shows and wedding fayres to generate new leads. From working as a Travel counsellor I have worked with both leisure and business travel as well as booked up weddings abroad and organised events for companies.
My current position is working for ROL Cruise where I started as a cruise specialist and then moved on to the administration department where I was the second in charge to the Manager and trained all the new members of staff and I then moved departments to be a concierge support assistant looking after our V.I.P customers and this was a job I was handpicked for due to my attention to detail and problem solving skills. After a successful experience I was made a Senior Administrative Assistant where I am the second in charge to the Head of Admin.
My current role is with Inntel as a Business Travel Administrator and with my previous experience of overseeing a team of 12 I feel I am ready to progress to the next level.
This is my current role and I work on the inboxes responding to the clients and answering the phone to customers and hotels, making sure that everything is done correctly with attention to detail.
I was the second in charge of the administration department reporting into the Head of Admin. I trained the new admin staff and keep training up to date for the current team.
I take charge when the Head of Admin is not available or on annual leave and help with rotas and making sure targets are kept to.
