  • Initially hired a a document controller, my task included creating SDRL (supplier document Register) , managing and updating the SDRL, submitting and tracing all documents relating to the project such as Drawings, procedures & ITP's.
  • My responsibilities also included all export orders, this will included creating of packing lists, shipping invoices & certificates or origin. keeping track of proof of export per HMRC legislation, advising of export licenses if required.
  • Ensuring all goods are suitable packed for export in line with requirements, such as fumigated crates, hazardous material & commodity codes with proof of origin. all invoice and packing list need to be in accordance with the CDS system.
  • My responsibility grew in scope, I was in charge of project managing all project, this would include stock supply of bulk items & manufactures valves, Flanges, fittings & pipe. the Job role would include co-ordinating approval of all technical documents prior to manufacturing, co-ordination would include testing activities and co-ordinating with 3rd party inspections and the test house.
  • Reviewing al material certificates, test reports , NDE report & paint report and them compiling the manufacturing records books
  • As I took on more responsibility, shorty after finishing my studies at collage my job role took on complex tasks.. as follows:
  • Reviewing all customer specification, capturing technical requirements for testing and manufacturing of steel products such as carbon, stainless & duplex steel also including bronze, coper nickel & elastomer / vulcanised rubber material.
  • Creating ITP's capturing critical intervention points requiring inspection / witnessing activities relating to customer & material testing requirements.
  • I have a good knowledge of internal standards with material manufacturing techniques outlined in ASTM standards, including heat treatment, mechanical testing & NDE requirements.
  • I also have good knowledge of piping standards such as API 5L & ASME 31.
  • Part of my responsibilities is to compile a technical file to ARH (Algerian Regulation of hydrocarbons) this includes doing calculation demonstrating maximum operating pressure of pipe , fittings and valves, the calculation would include minimum wall thickness required at maximum operating pressure per API 5L & ASME B31.3 piping code.
  • Dimensional & visual inspection of all products.
