Dedicated individual with strong academic performance in mathematics, physics, and geography, demonstrating a commitment to excellence. Passionate about aviation and piloting, with a focus on continuous learning and skill development. Actively volunteers to support underprivileged communities and children, showcasing a strong sense of social responsibility.
Oversaw distribution of hot soups and homemade cookies to support homeless community in local car park near podium shopping centre.
Facilitated sale of unused clothing items, such as shorts and trousers, providing essential resources to homeless individuals free of charge.
Partnered with classmate to strengthen teamwork and increase overall efficiency in outreach efforts. Also helped to clean out left supplies and rubbish after handing out soups and ensured that the homeless people had crossed the road safely and carefully since the car park was in a high volume of parking
In that day, over 60 items of clothing have been sold and 30 bowls of hot soup are also sold
Facilitated smooth registration of 160 participants, enhancing event efficiency.
Ensured orderly queuing, contributing to a calm atmosphere prior to performances.
Improved teamwork and communication among colleagues, resulting in a more effective event management.
Also helped to bring in the retractable banner stand before the event starts and picking up litter/ cleaning up the venue after the event ends
School Junior prefect: (2024-2025) : My role is to take care of the juniors ensuring that they feel safe and cared in the boarding house. I also organised events for the juniors such as an inter-house football competition and pony trekking.
School Senior Prefect(2025-2026): My role is to assist the head of house and deputy heads about issues surrounding the boarding house (such as water pressure and lighting issues), furthermore I regularly communicate with the heads of schools and the heads of juniors to organise different clubs and societies around the school such as Chess Club and Dungeons And Dragons. Inter house competitions such as inter house chess competitions also happen once a year.
Maths End Of Year Award (2024-2025): Due to good performance in class, communicating well with peers and scoring 135/140 overall in the end of year predicted grade assessment.
Awarded house full-colours award in 2025 ‘House at Home’ event: Mainly due to good sense of humour and being responsible towards the younger age groups (setting as a good role model)
Passionate about aviation as I joined Hong Kong International Aviation Academy‘s aviation summer camp (Aviation Inside Out Summer Day Camp in 2023, Piloting Day Camp in 2024 and Aircraft Engineering Summer Day Camp in 2025). Also trained using flight simulators in Shenzhen, China and Frankfurt, Germany
The Wright Brothers‘ (Wright Flyer) has became an important milestone for the aviation industry, creating the foundation for commercial aviation and helped to reduce travel times from one destination to another. Through many years of research, hard work and testing, the aviation industry nowadays has experienced positive growth.
Since I was very young I was surprised by how planes work and how does an airport operate all day. From 2011 onwards I have traveled on different airlines such as Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific and I have learnt that no matter which type of aircraft whether it is a millitary jet, commercial aircraft or rescue helicopter, the pilots have the most responsibility of keeping the aircraft safe and stable.
Over the last 5 years the aviation industry was affected by the pandemic and loads of pilots had quitted there career due to reduced income and number of flights daily had been reduced. I genuinely think today we should have more pilots in our society and therefore I want to study aviation as I can learn qualities of leadership, be organised and most importantly communication.
In terms of my studies in Physics A Level (especially in Mechanics), I have learnt about aircraft density of different materials and basic forces and motion which acted on a normal car, which can be suited to an airplane as well. I have also learnt circular motion as it would be suitable during bank angle turns and circling near airport due to busy air traffic. Furthermore, in Maths I have learnt about trigonometry in which links to ‘angle of attack’ of an aircraft which determines the coefficient of lift of an airplane. Which determines whether the aircraft can successfully lift during a takeoff or not.I have also learnt rates of change in which would be useful to link between altitude descent and airspeed during an aircraft landing, such as a descent of 150 feet per minute would be considered a smooth landing. In Geography, I have learnt about different landscapes of planet Earth such as deserts and rainforests, I have understood the human impacts and also allows me to know which areas to avoid when flying an aircraft due to safety such as the Himalayas and Tibetian regions. Outside of lessons, I was inspired by the movie ‘Sully: Miracle of the Hudson’ in which how Captain Sully had successfully landed US Airways flight 1549 on the Hudson River with no fatalities despite both engines have lost power and stroke by birds.
In terms of my interest to aviation, I have participated in piloting courses and aircraft engineering courses at the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy. In the piloting course I attended last year, we were given an opportunity to fly an A320 using a simulator, I was surprised by the sensitivity of the joystick as I was shocked that having small hand-movements on the joysticks could make a huge difference to the postition of the plane, whether is cruising or landing. I was also given an opportunity to visit the Air Traffic Control Tower of the airport in which I can fully see how focused and intelligent the staff were communicating with the the pilots in their airspace. In the aircraft engineering course I attended this year, a ‘toy airplane flying competition’ was held as the person whose plane can perform all the techniques can win a prize from the Airport Authority. I built a toy airplane from scratch , this influenced me on how to successfully become an engineer by checking every single detail such as ensuring the nose of the plane was streamlined and landing gears were installed in equilibrium as the aircraft might lose balance, finally I won the competition and I knew this was also crucial for piloting as I have to check every single instrument before departure during the walk around part.
