I am a hardworking, energetic young lady who enjoys life and likes a challenge. I am a qualified Registered Nurse with success in working with care coordination in a fast paced environment. I work well within diverse patient populations and can foster effective and trusting relationships to improve outcomes. I am flexible and able to work a variety of various shift patterns.
I helped implement treatment plans, provide emotional support and administer medications in order to manage withdrawal symptoms and refer to the relevant services to help prevent relapse. Alongside this I worked casually within other wards including: ED, Gastro, Renal, Neuro and ICU.
I completed various contracts within NSW Health and SA Health that covered Orthopedic/Vascular Surgery and General Medicine. My role included but was not limited to: monitoring vital signs, pre and post op care, accessing PICC lines, administering meds and dressing wounds using aseptic technique.
I worked solely on the Acute Medical Unit in which I helped treat DKA patients, assessed and managed pain levels, facilitate discharges, escalated patient care when appropriate and managed daily caseloads.
Originally, I started working for LTHT Staff Bank as a Health Care Assistant whilst I was a University student. Once qualified and with the relevant experience I progressed onto working Registered Nurse agency shifts.
This was my first qualified job role in which I completed my preceptorship. I assisted with personal care, adhered to manual handling policies, provided end of life and palliative care and maintained documentation.
My every day duties included: till work, cash handling, customer liaison and sales advising.
