CLINICAL EXPERTISE AND PROCEDURES

  • Management of acute and complex paediatric neurological presentations across inpatient, outpatient and multidisciplinary settings.
  • Specialist experience in epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, FIRES/NORSE, neuro-oncology, neurogenetics and neuromuscular disease.
  • Independent administration of intrathecal nusinersen for spinal muscular atrophy.
  • Lumbar puncture, intravenous cannulation, phlebotomy, EEG and neuroimaging coordination.

RESEARCH AND CLINICAL TRIALS

  • GOSH Clinical Research Facility: Longwing, GTX/Angelman syndrome, Expedition and Embold trials, including exposure to gene therapy for Dravet syndrome.
  • Contributed to establishing GOSH as a recruiting centre for the international COMBAT trial in NORSE.
  • Sub-investigator for the Deep Ocean study in Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
  • First author of a multicentre European case series and literature review of posterior fossa lesional epilepsy; manuscript under review.

LEADERSHIP AND TEACHING

  • Lead for development of the GOSH FIRES guideline and associated quality-improvement cycle.
  • Developed an acute paediatric encephalitis guideline and contributed to a muscle-biopsy SOP.
  • One year of rota-coordination experience.
  • Year 3 OSCE examiner for Imperial College London medical students.
  • Delivered paediatric neurology and bedside clinical teaching.
