Ensure resourcing and resilience across MASH sites to meet operational demand locally and in conjunction with other MASH managers ensure resilience across TVP
  • In conjunction with partner agencies develop and maintain an effective multi agency service, in response to the changing safeguarding landscape. Review and evaluate MASH processes and be accountable for the policing contribution to both multi-agency and police governance structures
  • Retain overall accountability for the management and quality of information sharing with other agencies ensuring compliance with relevant information sharing agreements, legislation and Management of Police Information (MOPI) guidelines and the recording of decisions made
  • Responsible for identifying incidents that require higher level scrutiny to ensure appropriate police response. Manage the response escalating, where necessary, to senior managers to protect the reputation of the force. (e.g. critical incident) Note: this is identifying criticality in non police speak
  • Seek to reduce the risk of harm to children and adults through review and oversight of strategy discussions and meeting, Case Conferences and Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs)
  • Deputise for other MASH Managers and the DCI when required
