Victoria Gibbins

Great Malvern,Worcestershire

Summary

Hi my name is Victoria but most people call me Vicky.

I am a very proud mother of two children who are both in their late teens early 20s .

All of my working life has always been in care and hospitality .

over the years I have acquired many skills and lots of experience in all areas of care from dementia, palliative ,brain injury ,elderly to young adults and many more including care agency work which did give me opportunity to work in hospitals and nursing homes .

I also in my younger days I worked in hospitality in three of the main hotels in Hereford and Worcestershire from housekeeping , bar work , reception to waitressing and helping with organising wedding ,work conference , gala events and parties .

I would like to think that I work well with others as part of a team, but also I like to work independently and I am very self motivated.

In my present role as a team leader which I have been in that position for the last 16yrs , I work along side all different professionals to help with enhancing a better quality of life for not only the person that I am looking after but also to support their loved ones as well as fellow work colleagues .

I am up to date with all of my e-learning but obviously I understand that I will need to redo any training that is required to my new position.

I would just like to add that I have recently taken part in doing a three day training course for mental health first aider which I did enjoy as it has given me a better understanding of the changing world around us especially following the on going effects of covid .

but also I am especially proud that back in 2019, I was voted by my company as carer of the year for supporting a lady that was unable to spend her husbands last Christmas together, so I picked this lady up from her home arranged that she would be able to stay for a few night with her husband before he passed away .

would like to share some key points of myself .

Detail-oriented team player with strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
