I am a conscientious and friendly person who always strives to work hard and do a good job of any task I am tackling. I am motivated to provide a high standard of service and am a keen learner. I have excellent communication skills and I enjoy interacting with a diverse range of people. I listen well and attempt to solve problems seeking advice when required. I have recently left school and been successful in securing a place at Edinburgh College to study Music and Media Production. While at school I worked as a dog sitter during the summer holidays. This experience taught me the importance of care and compassion, being a reliable employee and following instructions. I have been grateful for this opportunity but I am now seeking more formal part time employment. Having studied retail at school, I feel I have gained the knowledge and skills to do well in this industry and I am aware of the importance of ensuring good stocking and presentation, excellent customer service and working as part of a team to meet the needs of customers. I enjoy team working and have evidenced my capabilities in doing so when I was part of a team of pupils who organised a successful sale of goods at Knox Academy contributing to my qualification in retail. I feel confident that I am able to support others and also ask for support when required. Many of my skills are transferable and I feel that I would also work well in a kitchen as I have completed a food hygiene qualification alongside my Home Ecconomics Nat 5.
