Summary

As a teaching assistant, my main role is to assist the teacher in the everyday running of the classroom to ensure the children's health, safety and education. My main priority is to help the children to learn, improve and succeed in all their lessons.

I have to keep to a strict timetable and im very experienced with time management and efficiency. I have the responsibility of all aspects of reading, phonics and spellings data and record keeping. I am trained to cover, risk assess and supervise children during breaks and dinners and i'm adept in behaviour management and conflict resolution in the class or outside . One of my responsibilities is to communicate with parents, outside agencies, carers, teachers and the head teachers on a daily basis, whether its a query (they have or i have) or a complaint or problem that we can discuss and come to a solution. Another responsibility i have is to design, execute and maintain all learning displays in and around the classroom to provoke stimulation in the environment and to keep it bold and full for the children to use as resources. As a responsible teaching assistant, i am experienced in creative activities, group instruction and recordkeeping. This brings top-notch organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent computer skills. I am able to work as part of a team, as we do in my current role, but i am easily able to work individually. I don't mind taking the lead, as i have done in lots of situations over the course of my career.
