I am applying for a position of Classroom assistant. This position really appeals to me as I feel I would enjoy working in a school environment. As a mature woman I have many years of experience seeing to children's needs As well as bringing up our three children I have childminded Nieces and Nephews and some of my neighbours children over the years and more recent help out with our two grandchildren.
I feel I could have a lot to offer students who need a little extra help. I am a patient and empathetic person who can support children by listening and guiding them on their journey through school.

I designed and created celebration cakes from my purpose built workshop at home for over 10 years. It was a labour of love. I consider myself to be quite artistic and loved my job but after working on my own for so long I decided I needed a change.
I balanced my cake business around being a stay at home mum to our children and helping to look after our two grand children.
I developed many skills during this time but mainly being very disciplined in fulfilling my orders to a high standard and delivering on time.
Skills
- I am passionate about creative learning and have always encouraged children in my care to get involved with hand on activities such as painting, baking gardening and paper crafts
- I am involved with the running of a local women's group and over the past two years I have tutored creative workshops for them such as glass art, decoupage and sewing
- I have gained team work skills and consider myself to be an active listener and good at explaining tasks
- I am a friendly and reliable person and I would love the opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and help them achieve their full potential in a welcoming environment
