My task here was to ensure students in lower years (predominantly GCSE students) were coping well with the pressures of academia and the school environment in general. To complete this responsibility I had to get to understand students on a personal level which required me to ask them a series of questions regarding their thoughts and feelings about school. I would provide advice and inspiration where I felt like it was needed and also if they asked. During this role I learnt how to empathize with a variety of archetypes of people and create a good environment optimal for communication.

Through this experience, I enhanced my teamwork abilities under pressure and improved my ability to think quickly and strategically. I also had the opportunity to learn directly from a senior JP Morgan operative, who spoke about effective financial decision-making and smart investment strategies. I actively participated by asking questions to deepen my understanding of resourcefulness and the realities of working in the finance sector.
