Personal Profile I have always held a keen interest in IT and have recently undertaken an online course studying the following modules: CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security +, MCSA Windows 7 and 10 and CISCO CCENT. Having completed my online studies I'm now looking to secure a position within the IT industry working as an IT Technician, First Line Support or Service Desk position giving what I learnt during my IT Practical Experience During my IT Practical experience within the IT Technician course. I have undertaken LiveLabs to give myself some valuable practical IT experience, I have completed the theory and I am currently gaining practical experience in the following tasks: Implementing different boot methods Installing Operating Systems and applications Disk Partitioning Using command line and windows system tools Using Mac OS and Linux with and the system tools Using Wi-Fi security protocols and authentication methods Working with tools used for malware detection, removal and prevention Securing workstations Troubleshooting Operating systems issues Troubleshooting PC security issues Implementing basic disaster prevention and recovery Working with remote access technologies Using system restore Working with BitLocker.
Working as an IT engineer for Joskos solutions I’m on sight as a 1st line engineer at Woodlands Primary School where I maintain the domain and the servers within the school efficiently while working beside the office manager. I’m in charge of making sure all servers within the school are updated and backed up every 24 hours and I’m the first point of contact if any staff or students are having any IT related issues.
Working for IKEA Wembley as a warehouse operative was a new experience that the company recently implemented as we were working amongst the customers. In this role I had to sometimes do stock checks of incoming items and make sure they were in the correct section for the customers to find around the store, some days I would be in charge of online orders which is picking out items for customers to collect. During my time at IKEA I learnt the true meaning of multitasking as they would teach me how to prioritise my tasks for the day while also helping out customers when they are in need. This also improved my confidence in a working environment and self awareness.
