KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the aircraft remains airworthy and safe for flight operations.
• Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft to meet required standards.
• Read and interpreted technical documents to complete maintenance procedures to required specifications.
• Inspect, adjust and pack aircrew flight equipment in accordance with all required safety checks and protocols.
• Return aircraft to operational readiness status, troubleshooting issues and replacing faulty system components.
• Obtain fuel and oil samples to check for contamination, verifying aircraft safety and readiness.
• Facilitate consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance by completing entries on unfinished maintenance in turnover logs.
• Disassemble engines and inspect parts for corrosion, wear, cracks and leaks.
• Lubricate shafts, bearings and gears to maintain optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to coordinate fitting and alignment of new and replacement parts.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

• Performed all necessary maintenance and checks in accordance with the required schedule, thus reducing aircraft downtime by 30% and also increasing customer satisfaction by 40%
• Serviceability of the aircraft and safety of the crew was maintained at 100%
• Carried out maintenance under strict supervision and in accordance with FAA regulations.

• Participated in carrying out scheduled and unscheduled inspections ground of engines
• Aircraft troubleshooting, system installations, and replacement of time and calendar items
• Rectification of snags on DO- 228 Type 331 engines all covering
• Calculating and presenting aircraft performance capabilities through regular checking of the power plant, engine fuel, and control
• Testing aerospace systems and hydraulic control valves
• Testing of Ignition pneumatic control engine, engine indicator, and oil systems under the supervision of the coordinating engineer.

• Participated in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the challenger 601 & 604 aircraft under the supervision of a certified aircraft engineer.
• Learnt the various process involved in the documentation and storage of aircraft parts and tools.
• Got hands-on experience about various aircraft tools, their sizes and their functions.
• Got hands-on experience on the various ATA chapters and their relevant in aircraft maintenance.
• Participated in preflight and post flight checks on the challenger 601 & 604 aircraft under the the supervision of a certified engineer.

• The Commanding officer in charge of fleet 053 NAF Camp, Abuja
• Duties:
• Reported daily to the commander on the level of maintenance and activity of the aircraft
• Handled documents concerning the design, construction, and testing of the aircraft
• Compiled technical reports and other documentation for use by the engineering staff and management
• Conducted basic and applied research to evaluate the adaptability of materials and equipment for the aircraft
• Evaluated product data and design from inspections and reports for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards
• Reviewed performance reports and documentation for field engineers and inspected malfunctioning or damaged products to determine the problem
