• I work in both the Neuro interventional and General/Hybrid interventional radiology suite, operating both the bi-plane and single-plane equipment.
• I am able to perform various body and head CT/MRI scans.
• I work with a multi-disciplinary team of radiographers, nurses, doctors and surgeons.
• I work out-of-hours, nights and weekends covering IR, CT, Neuro IR and x-ray.
• I work in neurotheatres and operate the C-arm and O-arm to carry out various spinal surgeries such as pedicle screw fixation, lumbar decompression, ACDF etc. and Trigerminal nerve operations.
• I assist the nurses with setting up lines for interventional procedures in the Neuro interventional suite.
• I am well familiar with reporting faults with the equipment and carrying out troubleshooting procedures on the equipment.
• I have a good understanding of the neuro interventional radiology departmental protocol , local rules and quality assurance testing on our equipment.
• I have a good knowledge and understanding of IRR(2017), IRMER(2017) and the MHRA guidelines and how this are applied to occupational and public safety.
• I have good understanding of CRIS, Bluespier and Sectra Pacs software .
• I have clinical expertise in a range of diagnostic and interventional neuro radiology examinations/procedures ranging from cerebral/spinal angiogram, embolisation, thrombectomy,myelograms, lumbar puncture, stealth CT/MRI scan, CT head angiography etc.

I worked in theatres using the C-arm for various orthopaedic and urology procedures.

I carried out portable x-rays on the wards

I undertook basic and advanced radiology positioning techniques such as HBL for lateral spine images.
