  • African Impact, Volunteer Site-Engineer, 2024-03, 2024-04, Being involved in a sustainability-based construction project, contributed to the design and construction of a community bench with eco-bricks (plastic bottles with compacted waste). Planned the materials coordinated with local volunteers, construction timelines and safe and efficient construction. Acquired practical experience in sustainable building techniques, project management, and resource management, taught good teamwork and problem-solving skills in a realistic and real life environment.
  • Turning Scheme, Volunteer Site-Engineer, 2025-03, 2025-04, Engaged in community development work in the Amazon rainforest, helping to build a footpath and a treehouse in a forest town used by the local children. Worked with the local teams to plan, organise and provide safe and efficient builds with materials sourced locally. Gained further skills in planning and managing projects, working in a team, and developed adaptability, and gained a greater insight into sustainable construction practices and how infrastructure helps to support remote communities.
