I am a very enthusiastic and hard-working young man. I am in my second year at The Focus Training Group and I am hoping to qualify to become an electrical engineer
During my time as an apprentice electrician I learned many things. As it was my first job I learned the importance of working with people who were many years my senior and learning about the craft through their personal experiences and the skills they picked up along the way.
On the week beginning the 3rd of July I worked as a trialist electrician for Olympic Electrical Services. During the week I worked on new builds in Gunnislake installing sockets and lights into walls and ceilings of new build houses. I helped install a chandelier and a Tesla charger into a customer's house and picked up different skills and helpful pieces of information along the way.
During this month long period I was employed part time by W Mcmullin and sons removal company. It was here that I learned the importance of a hard days work and not taking the easier jobs for granted. Being that this was my first ever employed position I was very rough around the edges in terms of the work environment but I was able to show I was not afraid of a bit of heavy lifting.
Teamwork:
Being in part of a team and working well is a hard skill to master as you have to balance your own task as well as helping others I work well in teams, as shown in school in my engineering lessons and onsite I do well with my solo work and balance it out with helping friends and colleagues when it is needed
Problem solving:
I am a good problem solver I am good at thinking quickly on the spot such as in maths when there are difficult questions, in engineering if there is a problem with a machine or in a working environment when encountering an issue which requires a quick solution to reduce negative effects
