For the last 12 months I have been working a weekend job with local business to help develop my skills.

My main duties include :

• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment, this included keeping the vans tidy and organised for efficiency at work sites. I’m keeping, and keeping the worksite tidy throughout jobs.
• Use of basic hand tools including,Screwdrivers , wire strippers/wire cutters, pliers and measuring tools. I can now use these confidently and safely.
• Use of basic power tools including: drills and drivers, tester following advice and safety guidance Using the right safety equipment.
• Assisting qualified electricians on first fix work such as : stripping out old electrical systems, running cables following a plan. preparing wiring routes and drilling and fixing back boxes for electrical accessories.
• As my skills have progressed over the last 12 month i am able to assist with second fix tasks witch include, connection of accessories Including light fittings and sockets, measuring and drilling holes to fit spotlights.
