The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Dialysis Access: Assisting with connecting and disconnecting patients from haemo-dialysis machines, which includes handling access to a patient's fistula or graft.
• Vital Sign Tracking: Performing pre- and post-dialysis patient reviews, which involve measuring and recording blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse.
• Condition Reporting: Monitoring patients throughout their treatment sessions and immediately reporting any changes in their physical condition or potential complications to nursing team.
• Machine Preparation: Setting up, priming, and testing complex haemo-dialysis machines and specialized equipment before patients arrive.
• Infection Control: Decontaminating and deep cleaning dialysis machines and surrounding clinical areas between patient shifts to minimize infection risks.
• Waste Disposal: Ensuring safe and compliant disposal of clinical waste, sharps, and general recycling.
• Holistic Support: Helping patients with manual handling needs, including escorting them to transport or moving them comfortably into dialysis chairs.
• Accurate Documentation: Keeping strict and confidential records of all treatments delivered, patient statistics, and care plans.
• Emotional Care: Building strong rapport with long-term patients to offer emotional reassurance and maintain their dignity throughout a highly repetitive treatment cycle.
