My current role is extremely varied and busy. I have to manage my time very efficiently meeting dead lines with regards to recruitment and the needs of the school.
It is essential that I am a good communicator both written and verbally as I have to liaise with all the staff and other agencies.
At times I have to deal with upset, angry and frustrated members of staff. I have the ability to deal with these situations professionally and tactfully. I attend regular meetings and take an active part in these.
I prepare payroll for all the staff at the school, which is over 200 contracts. This means that attention to detail is a must as I have to ensure that their pay is correct. This consist of additional hours, deductions due to sickness absence, pay increments when due for both teachers and support staff.
In my previous school I was responsible for the ordering of stock for the whole school. I also had to process the invoices for payment, ensuring that they payment was coming from the correct cost centre. This was of vital importance as the budget was set once a year and I
In previous role I was responsible for the ordering of stock for the whole school. I had to ensure that there was sufficient funds in the appropriate cost centre of the budget to cover the cost of the items. I was also responsible for paying all the invoices.
I also had to ensure that the all monies received from parents for school trips, breakfast and after school clubs was paid and if not chase them for arrears. At times this could be quite challenging but something that didn't cause me a problem.
