I am a friendly, reliable and upbeat person with a 'can do attitude': I am always willing to do whatever is required of myself within the workplace, including extensive experience promoting loyalty schemes.
I enjoy the personal interaction of customer service and have worked in a variety of settings such as a sales assistant, catering and as a community caretaker. I have several years of retail experience and like working within a busy team. I am quick to pick up new skills and any necessary information for a new situation.
As a sales assistant I was responsible for customer service, sales and stock presentation on the shop floor and behind the scenes in the warehouse.
I regularly enjoy working in customer service; helping someone find the right product, putting through exchanges, and dealing with complaints.
I have a thorough understanding of till systems, loyalty schemes and how to deal with often hundreds of customers each day.
In the warehouse I regularly meet deliveries, check that they are complete, assist with unloading and then unpacking.
I also open up the store, and carry out the end of day routines such as cashing up, cleaning and locking up.
I have also worked as part of a team which was sent to other locations in order to help set up new stores ready for opening. This involved organising stock, setting up displays, and training new staff.
Whilst at school I worked as a casual staff member at The Old Stables Cafe. I worked at the counter on customer service and taking orders, making drinks, waiting on tables, washing up and general cleaning duties.
I worked in school holidays and was often called in at short notice to provide back up cover when the cafe was busy.
As a part of the Horncastle Community Larder team I am responsible for collecting food donations from the various drop off points around town. I assess what donations are fit to be sent out and assist with organising stock within the larder.
I also assemble and deliver the food parcels along side other members of the team to ensuring that any special dietary requirements are adhered to. These then go out to the families and individuals in need throughout Horncastle and the surrounding areas.
I have also worked as a casual volunteer for Hospice Ethiopia at fundraising events. I have acted as a waiter and sales assistant at pop up cafe events at country houses in Norfolk, in aid of this ‘end of life' charity.
I have been working in a voluntary manor with the town council as the town crier for Horncastle since 2022 where I first started out delivering an address for the people marking the late Queens Platinum Jubilee with the pomp and circumstance it required.
I was also used in this capacity to mark the Kings coronation in much the same way, and have been told that should the need arrive I will be called upon again for a ceremonial address.
I have been working at the Horncastle Community Centre as the assistant caretaker for some time now, initially in an unofficial capacity to help the main caretaker who I'd become friends with through the theatre and my work with the Food Larder, I now do the role in a paid capacity covering nights on the weekends and during school holidays.
